‘Bengal turning into graveyard of Democracy
under TMC rule’ says Biman Basu

Kolkata,August 12 :  Today, West Bengal Left Front held a meeting of all its constituents. After the meeting West Bengal   Left Front Chairman Biman Basu  told reporters, “ It is  unfortunate, the way, Bengal has turned into a graveyard  for democracy, as election  are turned into a farce . This time also, in the upcoming municipal elections of the state, the TMC has turned the state into a graveyard of democracy, as TMC muscleman are flexing their muscles to debar the voters from casting their vote.  In Haldia and Panshkura ,TMC hooligans are threatening  the eligible voters as not to cast their vote.  In Durgapur also   in areas covering  ward number 12 to 21 , election has been turned into a total farce.   The  areas , where the municipal elections  has been held  , has turned into  hotbeds of terror. Saying this he also gave the details  where the TMC hooligans  from  outskirt of Durgapur and  the adjoining  district of Birbhum  has been given shelter ,so that can create mayhem  on the polling day”. He also urged the state election commission to  ensure free and fair polls  in the polling areas.

Human chain in Kolkata  on  Independence Day
 
 Left Front  has decided  to enact  a 4 km long  Human Chain,  in order to spread the message  of communal harmony  and   national integrity  on this years Independence Day.   It is envisaged that the 4 km long  oath taking Human chain will be  a milestone in the world  and  will exemplify the  cause of democracy and communal harmony and determination of the progressive people of the country.
