CONDEMNING WEST
BENGAL POLL VIOLENCE

2018-05-16

From India News Network (INN)

Ranchi, May 15: The Jharkhand State Committee of CPI(M) severely condemns the violence unleashed by Trinamool Congress on the people of West Bengal during the Panchayat Elections held in the state.

No condemnation is enough to denounce the barbarity with which the elections were rigged, booths were captured, opposition workers including our party members were heinously murdered. The party expresses its fullest solidarity with the comrades in West Bengal who are in the forefront of the attack by reactionary forces.

The CPI(M) appeals all left and progressive forces to rise against the cold-blooded murder of democracy by the Trinamool Congress.

Left parties will organize protest programs all across the state including capital Ranchi in protest against the situation in West Bengal.

CPI(M) State Committee also calls upon all its units to mobilize people and organize protest programs independently or jointly in the fight for restoration of democracy in West Bengal.
